EASTER BANNER/WALL HANGING
Base of banner is designed in beautiful irridescent silk dupioni gold woven with red to provide the rich undertones of a sunrise. The design is off-set on purpose, as it is hanging directly behind the ambo and the Priest did not want to block the Resurrection Cross. The design is attached with a technique described in an old book on irridescent banner making and reverse stain-glass. See closeup below. Banner is edged in a dark brown cotton/polyester, complete with interlining, backing and opening to allow for a rod at the top.

A customer from Louisiana so loved the wall hanging on the upper left (especially since the State Bird of Louisiana is the Pelican) he ordered the hanging without all the extra embroidery. Just one more example of custom-designing. Finished size approximately 27" wide x 28" long.
