The designs and colors of Glory and Praise Vestments are made to invoke reverence and love for the mysteries that we celebrate as People of God.

The General Instructions of the Roman Missal (306) says: "The beauty of a vestment should derive from its material and design rather than from lavish ornamentation."

What does quality hand-made vestments mean to you?
It means you are guaranteed your vestment will be made especially for you. Each one will reflect the individual priest and/or parish. All vestments are custom made, not off-the-rack, one-size fits all. However, I do have a number of different styles of chasubles, stoles, dalmatics, albs and religious habits from which to choose. Hand-made typically means better construction and longer lasting. I have over 30 years of experience as a seamstress and use only quality fabrics. Your satisfaction is guaranteed! Whether you prefer simple chasubles and stoles, chasubles with galloons, overlay stoles with symbols, embroidery, tassels - Glory and Praise Vestments can accommodate your style.

  • For example, this house designed an alb for a priest who wanted a new one made just like one of his old favorites, but with a little more breathing room.
  • Also, a Pastor from a local Parish asked me to design two 7-1/2" long wall hangings, pulpit banners, and altar cloths in the traditional Catholic liturgical colors. I additionally designed two wall hangings (one plain and one a Baptismal Wall Hanging with a cross, dove and baptismal shell) out of dupioni silk for the same Parish.
  • A local Deacon wanted a custom designed stole for Funeral Masses. He knew he wanted it in white and with the Alpha and Omega designs embroidered in purple and gold. The finished stole also has hand-made rayon tassels, is outlined with a purple satin to make it stand out from the white of the alb, and an additional Deacon Cross embroidered on the chest area of the stole. closeup of Deacon Cross--- closeup of Alpha
  • A Seminarian on the East Coast was in search of a special Marian Vestment. He e-mailed me his design and in less than a month had a complete set of vestments. Marian Vestments
  • Many priests have told me that they have worn out vestments that they keep wearing because that particular style is no longer available. That is where custom-designed services can help.

Why are the prices so reasonable?
Glory and Praise Vestments' prices are reasonable because this house does not have the overhead that most other companies do. I work from home as a staff of one and truly believe that it is not high prices that ensure high quality, but craftsmanship and care. Each vestment is made as a labor of love with a deep awareness that these liturgical articles will be used to enhance the celebration of the Liturgy.
